The Edge SS is a
computer-controlled router designed to machine architectural
doors for T-strikes, concealed closers, flush bolts, leaf
and European hinges, end pivots and re-railing & re-stiling
or other mortises up to 3” deep that can be cut with a
router bit. Optional secondary mortising unit makes it
possible to also machine for deep mortise locks up to 5-1/2”
deep.
Design features include a
heavy duty 7-1/2 HP router mounted to carriage that pivots
from 0 to 3 degrees bevel. AC servomotors and precision
ball screws are used for Y and Z travel. The X travel is
130”. Feed speeds up to 180” per minute can be programmed.
